2004
AHHH...The pleasure of cliff jumping. This was the scene at Jump Fest 2004, our first ever JUMP FEST! It took place on Sunday, August 1st. 2004 and was a total success. How could this be when no one that new about the fest showed up? With the exception of one guy that showed up after we left at about 4:30pm (See his AMAZING video on the videos page-OREGON2). We were there at 10:00am. The success came from all the people who did show up. These people were locals and group of about 10-15 from a wedding parting. These people were not only cool, they were jumpers! To top that off, they came from all over the country. Colorado, Las Vegas, New York, and a guy from California who plays semi-pro soccer for a team in Chico California. The jump had changed dramatically since I found it back in April. The highest jump was 67ft. There were jumps of all sizes, the water seemed to be bottomless, the cliffs were straight up and down, making this place a perfect Jump Fest location. Unless someone can find a better spot than this, plan on this being the location for Jump Fest 2005. We have these photos and a video-OREGON2. How sweet it is! I was able to hand out AAW cards, shirts, decals, coolers, and spread the sweet words...AirAboveWater.Com.
So to all of those who said you were coming, all is good! To all of those who I, Manual, Sonia, Jason, and Katie had the pleasure of meeting and jumping with, hope to see you again at Jump Fest 2005.
What is Jump Fest?? It is a time and place for cliff jumpers worldwide to
gather together and celebrate the Original Extreme Sport!
